A Few Crazy Days Living the Davis Dirt Works Life

Sometimes you blink and the whole family scatters in the best possible way. Horse shows, cabin trips, trail rides, work out of town - all happening at the same time. That's just life when you run a family business, and honestly, we wouldn't trade it.

Arika was competing in Verndale, Waylon was jumping off the dock at the cabin, and Elena was out trail riding in Garvin with Grandma. Meanwhile, we had equipment running and ground to move over in Bismarck. Everyone doing their thing, all at once.

We did get some solid work done on the Bismarck end of things. You can see the excavators working tight to an existing grain bin - that's exactly the kind of careful, precision digging that grain bin site work requires. Working around existing structures means there's no room for sloppy machine operation. Every pass matters.

That's the thing about grain bin site prep - it looks straightforward until you're actually in it. Getting the grade right, working in close quarters near a standing bin, moving material efficiently without disrupting what's already there. It takes experience and the right equipment to do it cleanly. We had both on this one.
