Sometimes a property comes with baggage - old structures that are past their useful life and just taking up space. That was the situation here in Otsego. The new owners had a deteriorating garage and a weathered old shed sitting on the lot, and neither one was worth saving. The goal was simple: get them down, get them out, and hand the owners a clean piece of ground to work with.

We brought in the mini excavator and got to work on the shed first. That gambrel-roof structure had seen better days - the siding was shot and the framing was soft. Once the bucket made contact, it came apart fast. From there we shifted to the white garage on the other end of the lot. Same process, controlled and methodical. We work to take structures down without creating a mess that spills into areas we're not supposed to touch.

After the structures were down, the real work started. Debris had to be sorted, loaded, and hauled off. That's where the dump truck comes in. Between the excavator, the Bobcat skid steer, and the truck, we had everything we needed on site to demo, sort, and remove - no back and forth waiting on equipment. That kind of efficiency matters when people are trying to move a project forward.

Once the material was cleared, we graded the area down and left the owners with a flat, workable lot. No slabs left behind, no mystery debris half-buried in the dirt. Just open ground ready for whatever comes next - whether that's new construction, a fresh build, or simply reclaimed yard space. That's what good demolition and excavating work looks like when it's done right.

Old garages and sheds are more common than people think, and a lot of property owners in the area are sitting on structures they just don't know what to do with. The answer is usually simpler than expected. Get the right equipment on site, work safely around the trees and surrounding property, and haul everything away clean. That's exactly what we did here in Otsego, and we can do the same for you.
