A waterer that isn't sitting level is more than just an eyesore. It causes uneven wear, leaks, and can actually shorten the lifespan of the unit. That's exactly what we were dealing with here - waterers that needed the foundation work done right so they'd hold up long-term.
We pulled the existing slabs, prepped the ground, and poured fresh concrete pads under each of the Ritchie automatic waterers on this property. Some were in paddocks along fence lines, some out in pasture areas. Each one got the same treatment - a clean, level pad that the unit sits properly on.
Getting the base right matters a lot with automatic waterers. When the unit isn't sitting flat, the float valve doesn't work correctly, water levels get inconsistent, and you're dealing with a mess that livestock will make worse fast. A solid concrete pad keeps everything where it's supposed to be and makes routine maintenance a whole lot easier too.
Whether you're installing brand new Ritchie waterers or your existing units need some attention - whether that's replacing a worn-out pad, adjusting the setup, or doing general maintenance - we handle all of it. Automatic watering systems are one of the best upgrades you can make for your animals and your daily workload. We just want to make sure they're built to last.
