This property in Stillwater needed a watering upgrade. The old drinking post had run its course, and the landowner wanted something more reliable - a setup built to actually hold up long-term. That's where we came in.

We went with a Ritchie EcoFount 1 automatic waterer. It's a solid choice for properties with livestock or horses. These units are designed to keep water fresh and accessible without the headaches that come with older drinking posts - things like inconsistent flow, freeze-up issues, and constant maintenance. The EcoFount 1 handles all of that with minimal upkeep once it's properly installed.

The install itself is a real job. We excavated deep to pull out the old setup and get down to good ground for the new one. You can see from the dig shots just how much goes into it - proper depth, clean plumbing connections, and a solid concrete pad to set the unit on. Cutting corners underground causes problems above ground, so we don't.

Once everything was backfilled and the concrete pad was set, the new Ritchie unit went right into place. Clean, level, and ready to go. That bright yellow housing isn't just eye-catching - it's built tough, with an insulated design that helps protect the water supply as temperatures drop heading into winter.

Finding the right watering solution for your property isn't always straightforward. It depends on your animals, your setup, and what you actually need day-to-day. We help landowners work through that and get something installed the right way - not just something that works for now, but something that works for years.
